When was the voltage uped on the Bakerloo, Towerman? I've got a copy of a Bakerloo Line supliment that states a nominal voltage of 630 is fed on the BR section.

The 313s can certainly cope with a Lower voltage, so It's entirely possible that the Voltage on the Euston DC lines is fed at 630 as it's an isolated (not directly connected to the 'normal' DC Territory) section. I'm unsure though if that applies on the Gunnersbury - Richmond section though, and the Wimbledon - East Putney is definately nominal 750V DC (as the likes of 450s and 458s can't really run on any less)

OTOH, there isn't much of a reason that I can forsee that would prevent higher voltage (well at least as high as 750) operation on ANY current LU Stock, as IIRC the lower voltage stuff is fed from the Alternator, not direct feed from traction current. (Hence why all the lights don't go out when moving across a rail gap)

When I worked at Stonebridge Pk I was told the NR supply was 750v DC Queen's Pk to Harrow and was the reason there was a high incidence of 400amp positive shoes fuses blowing on 72TS.

Oh right, thaks for that. I must be honest, the supliment I have is from '89; so just a tad out of date... ;)

Also, found this on London Reconnections:

http://londonreconnections.blogspot.com/....me-0909-on.html

"In addition to the general provisions, specific requirements have also been included in relation to the following:

* Light and motion sensors for lighting on station premises, where appropriate, when refurbishments take place;
* Standards updated to enable energy efficient technology through 750v trains and Low Loss Composite Conductor Rail"
